Jennifer Carson is a Canadian painter working primarily in acrylic, whose work is rooted in the quiet moods of Lake Erie and the landscapes of southern Ontario. Her paintings are known for their atmospheric depth, luminous colour, and the sense of stillness they hold. Carson paints what she calls the exhale - the calm after the storm has passed, the soft light that follows days of wind, the moment when the water finally settles. Her work captures not drama, but refuge. Not tension, but release.
