Artist Statement
Tanmay Parashar's style is rooted in the emotional resonance that emerges from the interweaving of colours. He is for his work to be a visual symphony, offering to the eyes what captivating music offers to our ears. For him, style is not defined by brush strokes or the technique of applying medium to canvas; it is the way I use colour to express his inner self. His aesthetic is a reflection of his identity, with each piece serving as a manifestation of his emotional and creative essence.

Kim Collins has a background in Design and Fine Art Education. Kim merges bold aesthetics with a commitment to sustainability, repurposing materials to spark joy and connection.
Where industrial utility meets fine art, her practice reclaims salvaged materials to explore the tension between graphic structure and organic spontaneity. By combining bold visual design with physical sewing and painting, she builds vibrant works that challenge conventional ideas of waste. Her work brings humour, scale, and unexpected play into public and personal spaces, turning discarded fragments into uplifting visual stories.

Artist Statement
Monica Plant creates work that explores the layers we carry, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Her practice currently moves between abstract land- and waterscapes and a longstanding figurative practice.
She is drawn to process: building, scraping back, rebuilding and marking, removing, and re-marking. In both her abstract landscapes and her figures, she plays with materials and lets unlikely dialogues emerge between pre-existing marks and the living form. She seeks what she calls the "truest line" — enough to convey essence, but not so much that it explains everything. This is a move from reaction to response, and an apprenticeship in trust in what is left unsaid.

Rachel Kienitz is a Canadian mixed media artist whose practice explores memory, transformation and the emotional landscapes we carry within us. Working intuitively with paint, collage, fabric and found materials, she creates layered compositions that encourage viewers to linger and form their own connections.
Influenced by the natural world and symbolism found in everyday objects, Rachel’s work balances abstraction with recognizable forms, inviting multiple narratives rather than fixed ideas. Her paintings have been featured in film and television productions for Amazon, Disney, and Netflix.
Artist Statement
JC Lee is a self-taught Southern Ontario artist whose richly textured mixed-media paintings blend magical realism and surrealism. Inspired by local shorelines, farmland, architecture, and skies, he transforms familiar landscapes through symbolic imagery, heightened light, altered perspectives, and sculptural surfaces.
His distinctive process combines moulding paste, sand, paint fibres, oil paint, mica powder, and sometimes acrylics and inks. The resulting works shift between the familiar and the mysterious, exploring the connection between memory, place, and imagination.

Alexander Denis is from Mississauga, ON, now based in Burlington. A graduate of the joint Art and Art History program at the University of Toronto and Sheridan College, he works primarily in acrylic, transforming photographs of landscapes he has captured into richly textured, abstract compositions. His distinctive process uses hand-cut stencils, tape, and flicked paint to create a dynamic balance between structure and chance. Inspired by the nature of memory, his work invites viewers to look closely, discovering layers of detail and ambiguity while connecting the artist’s memories with their own. In 2026, Denis participated in the Toronto Artist Project and the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair.

Lisa Pijuan Nomura is a Hamilton-based mixed media collage artist and storyteller whose work explores memory, identity, lived experience, and women’s stories. Using found letters, collected papers, and vintage ephemera gathered from around the world, she creates intuitive, layered compositions that reimagine connections between people, places, and generations. A self-taught artist, Lisa has participated in numerous international artist residencies and exhibitions, including programs in Toronto, Estonia, New Orleans, France, and Mexico. Her practice continues to evolve through a passion for collage, storytelling, and building community through art.
